With over four decades of experience in visual arts, graphic design, and art instruction, Annette combines her expertise in Visual Communications from Grant MacEwan University with a passion for creativity and teaching. Her career spans collaborations with international charities and corporations, while she remains dedicated to inspiring a diverse range of art students. Drawing inspiration from the serene landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, Annette’s work explores themes of light, hope, and tranquility. Her art often shifts between high-contrast realism and ethereal scenes of rainforests, oceans, and nature. Specializing in watercolour and pen and ink, she skillfully bridges the worlds of art and design, using these mediums to offer a sense of calm amidst the chaos of modern life. Watercolour, with its inherent unpredictability, is a particular favourite, allowing her to embrace its fluidity and surprising results to deepen her creative process. Annette’s artwork has been featured in notable Vancouver exhibitions, including the Seymour Art Gallery, North Van Arts Council, and The Gallery George. Her work has also appeared in the North Shore News and resides in private collections throughout North America, reflecting her dedication to both artistic evolution and professional growth.
