ABOUT melinda
My name is Melinda Rundle and I am a Mouth Artist. I have a physical and Communication Challenges. Painting by mouth has been very therapeutic.
Painting for me began with my wonderful Dad creating a hat that held the paint brush, however this was unsuccessful. We watched a video together of my hero Joni Eareckson Tada, whom is also physically challenged, painting with her mouth. This is where it began for me!
With the encouragement from my Dad, my goal to paint and perhaps share my paintings with others, was made. I want to keep this goal as it was one of my Dad’s final wishes for me.
With my Recreation Therapy Assistant’s help, I painted and painted. My art is my joy and my therapy and I am so thankful for it. I am excited to share my paintings in the Art Walk and to meet wonderful people.
God Bless You
